This document will help you to effectively search the IGN e-mail database and add yourself to it and explain how to update your information.

How do I add myself to the Database ?

To add yourself to the database follow these steps.

• Click on the Add button.
• Now add your information in the various sections in the form.
• Make sure all the information is right. Then click on the submit entry button.

How do I search this Database ?

To search the database effectively you must realize how the data is organized. It contains all the information that you have added to the database from the Add form. You can either view all records or you can search by certain keywords.

• View all records choice will find all the users in the IGN Database. Since this search involves looking in all the records it can take some time before the results ar e displayed.
• You can also search for people by their names or by City or State of their current residence. We have provided three separate choices in our search forms called Search by NAME, Search by CITY and Search by STATE. The Search by NAME will only look for matches in the name fields of the database like the First Name, Last Name and Middle Initial. Similarly the other choices will only look for matches in the corresponding fields.
• The search is case insensitive, so it doesn't matter whether you type in upper or lower case

How do I update my information in the Database ?

In order to update your information in the database you must send teh updated information to the IGN administrator. Automatic update is not available at this time.
